Daddy, you were such a brilliant man, a wonderful husband and a father who taught us to reach for the stars. You were never daunted in striving for the "next stage" of whatever you wanted out of life and taught us to do the same.
I am so glad I followed in your footsteps and went to Durham University where some of your old colleagues taught me and remembered you with great fondness. Happy memories of so much: lunches together at BP when I worked there one summer, creating silly poems together to while away airplane journeys, scrabble on New Year's Eves after a crème brûlée, Sunday lunches at my home where you loved the new, bright space and the many family occasions we had together there. You were always happiest with family around you and we all used to love listening to your stories, your voice and your poems. We miss you so much but you will be forever with us in our hearts.
